Criminal Justice Ministry

The mission of the Archdiocese of Detroit Office of Criminal Justice Ministry is to provide a Catholic Presence in jails and prisons, ensure the Catholic inmates have access to the Sacraments, and provide a pastoral presence to the victims, their families and the families of the offenders.

This mission is possible by the hundreds of volunteers who donate their time and talent to minister to the incarcerated men and women in the jails and prisons located within the Archdiocese of Detroit.

Volunteers are needed to:
  • Conduct a communion service
